Dollarama Finds

I'm starting this thread about neat finds at Dollarama. We'll see where this will bring us to.

I found a mini 3-drawer organizer for $2. This is similar to the one by Sterilite which are sold at Wal-Mart for up to $8.

Its size is W15cm X H16.5cm X L18cm. This organziner can be used to store cosmetics, office supplies, etc.
The organizer is available in 2 colors black or grey. Maybe there are other colors.

The attached picture is the organizer by Sterilite, the one from Dollarama is almost the same except for the color and the drawer case.

Great idea, as DOLLARAMA is a see it, buy it now before it disappears kind of place.

Recently found great leather(!) belts by dockers for my family. Equivalent to 15$, and not cheap quality at all.
The gift bag and crepe paper section is great too!

They had small stainless steel garbage cans (for the bathroom?) at $2, and white garabge pails for the bathroom for $2.

Craft section: Scrapbooking set to make 5 Christmas card, including card, envelop,stickers

Lot of things for the office, like a drawer organizer, for far less than Staples

Beauty section: children band-aids (usually 4$ at the drugstore) and children toothpaste

15 wipes to clean the BBQ, small package, great for camping

Halloween: lot of great accessories, specially the pirates section (headband, different hats, sword, jewellery)

Great for collectors or to keep as souvenir of the Vancouver 2010 hockey championships, the book is still sold on the website of hockeycanada.ca for $22.95, but you can find it at Dollorama for $2. A great discount at 91% off the retail price :grin:.

A few years ago I found a Hardcover Guiness Book of World Records which was up to date! But it was a once shot deal, never again ....

I went to the Dollorama on Champlain blvd in Place Lasalle last Saturday. I saw maybe 10 copies of the book.

Dollarama is great for craft supplies and scrapbooking projects. Always go there before Omerre des Serres.

I found for $2 the collectible book Home Ice: Canada’s 2010 Men’s Olympic Hockey Team Guide – By Lorna Schultz Nicholson which retails for $24.99 on the website of hockeycanada.ca and there were 10 copies of the book. I went to the Cavendish Mall Dollorama.

I also found the previous-mentioned book Canadian Gold: 2010 Olympic Winter Games Ice Hockey Champions Book – By Andrew Podnieks and again roughly 10 copies of it.

Dollorama also sells the Russ Shining Stars animal collection for $2 each. On Amazon.com, prices vary from US$6.50 to US$20.

15 envelopes CD/DVD Mailer Kit for $1.

On Memorex.com, it retails for US$9.99 and on Shopping Canoe.ca, it sells for $13.95. I don’t know if this is supposed to be sold for $1 or they forgot to put the $2 price tag on the item :grin:.

I saw the TV ad for this product Cool Crisp. It helps to absorbs odours, ethylene gases and moisture in the refrigerator so food stays fresh instead of using baking soda.

The TV ad mentioned that this is sold in major department stores such as Zellers, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire and such but no mention of Dollorama (which is not a department store). I saw the same exact product, same packaging, size and content, at Dollorama for $2 compared to Canadian Tire for $4.99.<o></o>

Also, the Canadian creators of this product went on the show Dragon’s Den on CBC to promote the product and to get the chance of a financing from the show.<o></o>

Dollorama also sells other products from this company: Odour Out for the car and pet for $2.

I went to the Continental Auctioneers which is located in the old Winners store at 3610, Côte-Vertu Blvd.

They were selling merchandise from closed Dollorama from other provinces. All merchandise from the Dollorama were 89₵ instead of the usual $1 to $2 price.<o></o>

Obviously, not all the regular stuff from Dollorama is sold there since it’s a buyout from closed stores.<o></o>

But a great price at 89₵ for glass vases that are sold for $2 at Dollorama.<o></o>
Also, Halloween decorations are 49₵ instead of 89₵ until the stock runs out.

I found these awesome pants hangers. They are 99% identical to the ones that I bought at Winners many years ago. I've been searching for them (Zellers, Walmart, Winners...) and they were no where to be found! I just can't believe I found them at Dollarama (for $1.25/ea). They are made from a non-slip rubbery type of foam. They are the best pants hangers I've ever had!!

I also found craft glue tape ($1). They run out of these very fast, probably because they are more expensive at craft stores.

I do think that they are open on regular store hours as this is the same place where the Buffalo liquidation is. I went there this past weekend. I think it's a temporary location though. Hope this help.

I was quite surprise to see this item at the Dollorama. It's a stool made of a plastic seat and some kind of metal for the legs. Somewhat similar to the model at IKEA (see picture). I don't know how strong is the stool from Dollorama compared to the IKEA model. Probably not strong enough for an adult to seat on.

It's quite a big item to be found in Dollorama. I only saw 6 stools and they were all pink plastic seat for $2 each.
